I had moved to this school for 7th grade due to my previous school, Hillcrest Academy in Temecula, CA wasn't good for me academically or financially.
I will admit, I am a shy person. I wasn't sure how it would feel to transfer since I was a bit... worried to say the least. But after being there from 7th-12th grade, I can definitely say I very much enjoy this school.
From the fun teachers, to the lessons that helped me learn, to the nice atmosphere that really helped while there, I can totally recommend this school for anyone. They will treat you like family and you will get the skills necessary to move into your bright future!

I attended Julian Charter School from 1st grade to 7th grade. At Julian Charter, there are a couple different options: 1) You can attend classes at school 3-5 days a week, or 2) you can do home study where you are taught by your parent and the school provides the materials. I did the home study. If you take the home study path, you are required to meet with an educator from the school every month. At each meeting, the educator either collects samples of your schoolwork, makes you take a few tests, asks what you have been learning about, and sometimes even teaches you or watches you do schoolwork (although I never did this, it all depends on the educator). I never took the classes, however I have several friend who still do. Both the classes and the home study don't provide very good academics, however if you do the home study you are likely to get a better education. On average, the students are mostly troublemaking kids who got kicked out of other schools, or so I've seen.
Julian Charter School was an amazing school, they helped me to catch up when I was behind in public school. It was almost like they gave me a chance when no one else would. I seriously struggle with my bipolar disorder and some days not being able to get out of bed, so this was a perfect fit since I didn’t have to physically be there everyday and was able to do my work online. The library has a ton of great resources and the teachers truly care about their students. I’m actually considering sending my daughter there for school.
