While most teachers at jasper are fully capable of teaching their courses, it's important to note that a few teachers are lacking (whether it be because they aren't knowledgeable enough about their fields or because of their incompetence when it comes to teaching). Regardless, this usually just tests the pro-activity of students and brings the community together academically. And, speaking of which, Jasper has a multitude of Facebook groups centered around specific courses. These are immensely helpful for studying. A minor problem that arises out of this is academic dishonesty, but bouts of cheating can usually be stopped relatively quickly.

One of my only complaints is drug use, but every school has this and always will.

Jasper High School offers outstanding orchestra, G/T, art, math, technology, and health programs. The football team is subpar, but the volleyball and wrestling teams more than makes up for it. It is very diverse, with a large Asian population, comprised mostly of Chinese and Indian people. The African population, however, is small. The teachers do their jobs very well. There are many options for higher-level classes. The school has a culture of high academic achievement. This shows in the students' attention to GPA and extracurricular activities. As a result, there are many active clubs that are very serious about what they do. There is a club for whatever interest students may have.
Jasper is the pinnacle of High School Education. If you are one of the best in Jasper, then you are one of the best students in the United States. Not only does Jasper have great core classes, it also has a multitude of electives to choose from. You're problem won't be finding one that you like, it'll be choosing one! The teachers are excellent, and while many students don't appreciate them for what they do, they offer test corrections, helpful tutorials, and offer insightful lectures. Jasper would be nothing without it's teachers. The students are the cream-of-the-crop. They are intelligent, focused, and diligent with their studies. I have found many friends here, and I think anyone can fit in. The music program is one of the best in the world, and the extracurricular clubs are very interactive and fun to take part of.
