(Most of)the teachers are really nice. There are no leveled classes which is a nightmare for TAG students like myself. The music program is great. Sports uniforms are 5-15 years old which is kinda gross. The discipline policy is awful troublemakers never get detention but if you doodle on your paper you get in trouble.Bullying and harassment is extremely prominent also. they have an extremely strict dress code for girls but for boys it is basically no Mohawks. We can’t dye our hair either. The teachers will treat us like we are stupid too!

Three of my children have attended Jared Eliot Middle School. The school has been the recipient of the NELMS Spotlight Award multiple times. The teachers are supportive and well-respected. A wide variety of after school enrichment programs are offered throughout the year. The teachers and staff genuinely care about every student, and are very fair. The chorus and band student participation is fantastic. Various activities and educational field trips (Boston, Newport, Sturbridge Village, Nature's Classroom, Music in the Parks at Hershey and Six Flags, Goodspeed Opera House, Memorial Day Parade participation) are offered to the students during their three years at the middle school, creating memorable experiences for our Clinton youth. My children always felt academically challenged, comfortable and safe.
Great school with teachers who are involved and care.
Its sad that this school gets a low rating due to lack of diversity. The teachers and administrators and programs are excellent.
