At Jane Long Academy, I learned to not be afraid to try things that are out of my comfort zone, such as participating in sports. This school removes the formality between grade levels. This helped me to become more open with others. Not only that, the teachers are caring of their students' academics and overall health. The Pharmacy Technician program gives students a headstart into the medical field, allowing them to experience what it is like in the real world. In addition to that, the programs provides a great opportunity for students to be able to sustain themselves financially after they graduate high school.

I have been attending this school since 6th grade and it has absolutely improved over the years. The fact that the school consists of grades 6-12 it is difficult to obtain common needs for both the school, students and faculty. For example obtaining a school bus for our school soccer teams' games. Our art class has no supplies at all and the teacher has to buy the supplies for that class. We have a library full of books that isnt open becahse we dont have a librarian. We really do need economic help.
Amazing school but it can be better!
Jane Long Academy is a small school and a place where everyone gets along in the high school. There is not a lot of students so you have a better chance of getting help by the teacher than in a classroom filled with 100 student. I would like the school to play in the UIL because I want college to see what skills and potential we have in the sport. I want Jane Long Academy to have a girl basketball team and have more sports than soccer, volleyball and boys basketball. I want Jane Long Academy to play with competitive and good high school that eventually will help us grow and learn what we need to improve on.
