Jane Addams Middle School Reviews

Jane Addams is a pretty average school overall. The teachers are a mix of good and bad, mostly leaning on the good side. HCC is challenging, although HCC and non-HCC students tend to separate and not interact because they kept apart. Bullying is an issue at this school and administration is terrible at handling it as well. One big issue is cliques. This school is very cliquey and it is easy to see the groups. One being the "popular" group that everyone wants to be in. Everyone judges everyone and people are in different groups.

Worst experience ever. Zero leadership. Administration is a joke. Teachers are rude to students and show no respect. Yelling and intimidating (I'm going to fail you guys!) almost everyday. Some math teachers and ELA teachers are not qualified to teach HCC students. The math teacher who taught the algebra II couldn't answer even a question from students and consistently gave wrong answers. She never gave lecture, but used Youtube for students to learn a new concept. The same goes to the ELA teacher. The Orchestra teacher let bullying happen. She didn't care about victimized students. So sad that my daughter spent 3 years there! The Seattle Public School definitely needs to be involved in Jane Addams for improvement in many areas.
