The best thing about JWMHS is the staff! The teachers, particularly in the AP and Honors English classes, are supportive and provide a challenging learning environment. I highly recommend getting involved in the drama program if you have any interest in fine arts!

The teachers and staff are always willing to help out when you need assistance! The class sizes are a decent size and makes one-on-one communication easy. The atmosphere of the school is good and uplifting, one could say that It makes them feel at home or comfortable.
At James W. Mitchell High School I have had an average experience. While the teachers and the academics which I believe to be the most important part of school was fantastic. However the administration was often making announcements or disrupting classroom. Which was often not needed, to yell or disapprove of behavior that was not even present. The facilities were often degraded and the food was always lacking edibility. However the school was extremely safe and the environment between students was friendly. Despite it's downfalls J.W. Mitchell is a very good place to learn.
