I absolutely love it! Friendly environment and amazing professors. Everyone wants you to succeed and JMU offers so many free resources to help. My favorite is the writing center, they are so helpful with reviewing essays and project, but there is also a math and science center as well. I feel like I have so much school spirit and have made so many friends. I was so nervous going into freshman year, but it has ended up being the best decision of my life. Be prepared to study, but I defiantly recommend getting involved in something especially in the first semester. There are so many clubs for everyone, so you can feel invited to the school.

I transferred to Madison in my sophomore year. Academically, it's a good school. Majority of the teachers are great and will push you hard. Otherwise, everything else is alright. The lunch could be better, and senior activities definitely need more involvement rather than just canceling the senior trips and doing nothing about it. The principal is okay too, tends to exaggerate a lot about wearing lanyards for your ID. It seems childish, although, she truly cares about the school and tries to improve it as much as possible. This school isn't the worse school ever, nor the best, but it definitely had some improvements compared to back then. They also give a lot of opportunities and internships.
Great school and teachers! Super competitive academically with a high graduation rate compared to any surrounding schools in the county and state. Only downside is the lack in diversity.
