Conant High School is an amazing school! They work hard to ensure that every student gets the education that they need and that everyone is supported. They also have fantastic extracurricular opportunities! Forms sports to music, you can find a club for any interest that you may have. Currently, with the corona virus, Conant is doing an excellent job making sure that every student is taken care of, and is making it a priority to try and hold a graduation ceremony for the seniors this summer.
Conant has done a lot to make me feel successful these past few years. The teachers are phenomenal, and are willing to take time out of their day on short notice to help students out, even when it inconveniences them. The extracurricular offerings are massive, with sports, clubs, and academics included. I tried a new sport out as a freshman, and I would never have known how much the network of people involved would lead to me making strong friendships. There is a large support system of counselors, psychologists, and other trained professionals to assist students for free when their mental health takes a dive. Besides this, there are many teachers I can think of that I would be comfortable discussing personal issues with. All in all, I think that the rigorous academics at Conant have prepared me for college-level work, and the additional commitments to sports and my job has allowed me to develop time-management skills that I know will be very useful in college and beyond.
Conant has amazing and supportive teachers. Having such great teachers really made my time at Conant amazing. My teachers have helped with questions and to challenge me as a student and as a person. I have also had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of activities from being a mentor to incoming freshmen, then having the opportunity to provide input to the principle advisory board, to also increasing school spirit with our student led spirit team. That is what is great about my school, there are so many opportunities for everyone. Being on the dance team has been wonderful too, with amazing coaches and great memories made. School is what you make of it, the opportunities are there and you have to take them. That is great about Conant with the diverse student body, there is something for everyone. I am going to miss my time at Conant but will be leaving soon with many great memories and wonderful teachers and great friends. It's hard to believe my time is almost over.
