I love how Morton West High School's environment and curriculum has improved greatly throughout the years. The amount of school spirit that this school carries is phenomenal! After leaving Morton I feel as if I was more than prepared to enter into my first year of college. If I could improve one thing about the school it would be based on staffing needs. Not all students learn the same way. In order to improve test scores and graduation rates, then there should be teachers who are capable of teaching a variety of ways, as well as an emphasis in student resources to ensure complete success.

I love the diversity my school has to offer. Not only does the school simply state their diversity and amount of different ethnic groups the school district and each campus individually receives, the staff and student body proudly proclaim the diversity as our own. However, the school's academics are not as strong as the neighboring schools around us. Additionally, a large number of our subjects are understaffed causing multiple teachers to be teaching a variety of different classes, such as one teacher teaching AP Biology and Anatomy or Modern History and AP European History. This is seen especially in our science department.
Although Morton West High School is rarely acclaimed by others in its district, it possesses a unique atmosphere that is like no other. Each student can detail an intriguing anecdote pertaining to Morton West, which separates the school from its predecessors. Both academics and athletics are heavily revered, and it isn’t uncommon to behold a Varsity Football player who simultaneously is an active member of the National Honor Society. The faculty at Morton West are also rather multifaceted, often sharing camaraderie with students while enforcing strict precepts. Overall, very few high schools can conjure a reputation akin to that of Morton West, which is quite an anomaly nowadays.
