Ithaca High school is a great school that offers a wide variety of classes including but not limited to, fashion illustration and design, an English baseball class, and marine biology. You can tell that the teachers really like what they do based on the assignments that they create and they are always available after school for extra help. I think it's also notable to mention how many clubs we have. We have over 300 clubs that range from Chess Club to Fashion Club, to Knitting Club! There is bound to be a club that interests you.
On top of that, we have a great campus, we have plenty of open fields where students practice and play games for their designated sport. Not only are students exposed to countless clubs, classes, and sports, there are also teachers whose job is to help you succeed and get into college or whatever you plan for the future. They have helped me know what I want to do and know where I want to go to college. This high school is like high schools you see in movies.

IHS is an amazing school with a lot of potential and big plans to create an even better space for students. However, there is always room for improvement, and the main focus is the communication. Communication issues, including misinformation, runs rampant through the school, from administrators to faculty, and faculty to students, it becomes a vicious cycle that seemingly has no hope for an end. Though, even through these challenges, the faculty is determined to foster a safer, more equitable and inclusive environment which makes all the downsides much better.
There is way too much homework. Some teachers are excellent, but a lot of them are not so good. There is too much pressure. The administration is slowly changing the way the school works--emphasis is on the poor doers, which is at the expense of the stronger students. The smarter kids lose out when classes are mixed with kids who are not motivated and do not want to be there. The teacher then teaches to the lowest level, and the smarter kids are told to do extra on their own! Flipped teaching (where students watch videos at home and supposedly discuss and practice the material in class, which never happens) is a total waste of time.
