Islesboro is a wonderful, small school very focused on the individual needs of its students. With such a small student body, teachers are able to help each student on their individual learning path, which can be flexible and non-traditional.

The teachers and staff work one on one with students. They go out of the way to help students out how and when they need the help. The academics are rigorous yet there’s not ever homework overload.
I like to call it a “big family”.
It is a close knit community. The teachers will help you with anything, they want you to graduate. The school is in a bit of a change with all the new teachers that have come in within the past couple of years. It was a needed and good change. Everyone is close and it is easy to make friends who ever you are.
