Islands High School is great! It is a nice place to grow. The facilities, teachers, and educational opportunities are awesome. Friendships are made and kept for life. Finally, the school spirit is something that describes the school, and all sharks wait for them to come.
In my opinion Islands High School is very good. The academics and teachers are fairly good and there are also great programs, such as scientific research to help you on your path to college. As far as diversity there is some, but not enough. According to my research it it about 70% white, 17% black, 4% Asian , and 5% Hispanic. There are a lot of extra curricular activities that you can get involved with as well, sports, marching band, quiz bowl, and FBLA are just a few. If you are in the area or move to Savannah I would definitely recommend you to go to Islands High School!
Islands High School has gone above and beyond to help me. I received a head injury when I was 14 in 2014. Due to this, I could not complete 9th grade for two years and did online for my 9th year. When I enrolled in Islands and the learned of my situation, they became very determined to help me graduate. They held meetings for me and made game plans with me. If I ever had any questions they were an email or a phone call away to help me. I worked really hard and now I am graduating with a B average, because of all the help Islands and its staff did for me. They are an amazing school and I owe them a lot!
