What I have liked about Island Coast High School was how it got me ready for college. I was constantly meeting up with advisors about the matter and I was collecting certificates colleges would be sure to notice. The college I went to was Florida SouthWestern, but I was already taking their classes in high school. I highly recommend it if you have already chosen or are currently choosing your career.
There are a few things I would like to see changed about Island Coast High. The first would be the location because it is in a weird spot at the edge of Cape Coral. The second would be the food in the cafeteria because I always preferred to bring my own lunch there due to the options available and the taste. The final change I would like to see there is to remove the morning announcements. I just believe they're pointless as they don't advance student academics in any way.

I moved to Florida two weeks before quarantined started. Which means I only attended Island Coast for one week in person before switching to online. My experience while there was short lived. The teachers were very nice to me and helping me out as much as they could. I got to meet some cool new people too! While we transitioned into online school it was very easy. The teachers helped us through and troubles that I went by. The work wasn't too complicated while transitioning to online school. Overall Island Coast is a great school and I can't wait to finish off my senior year there!
Island Coast High School offers many opportunities regarding academics, there are many AP and Honor classes that can be taken with teachers that are fully commited to the success of the students, especially in the english and foreign language departments. While the high school doesn't have many extracurricular opportunities outside sports, the administration does encourage the students to create their own clubs and communities. Excluding previous years, the administration regarding school activities and the establishment of on campus rules was poor for the school year of 2019-2020, however the school does have great counselour that are committed to guide the students to make the most out of their high school experience and to be ready for their post graduation plans.
