The smaller classroom sizes allow for the teachers to work more closely with each students learning level. I was amazed to hear our teacher say they were picking out more advanced books for free reading time because that’s where my son was at. I have two in this school and the teachers and staff are very friendly. They offer before and after school care (latchkey) if needed. We also went here for pre-k (which is well worth the cost as they were reading and able to write the alphabet by the end). There is a lottery to get into the school for kindergarten (even if the child attends pre-k there) but once your oldest child is in, the siblings are automatically in.
Wonderful staff. Intelligent teachers that care about the student. Fully prepared me to be at the top of my class in high school. Small class sizes give the students one on one attention. Introduces Spanish starting in pre-school. Very good sports.
I love that this is a public charter school (lottery system cod enrollment) but has the feel of a private school. It’s small enough (1 class per grade pk-8) that everyone knows everyone. I love that they have a uniform dress code. I love the accommodations for students both below their grade level and excelling past their grade level.
