The Islamic School of Irving has one of the best social environments of any school I've seen. The students are taught to be respectful, kind, and helpful, and they have made the school very inclusive and welcoming to new students and guest. The teachers challenge their students and many dual credit kids have noted that they are very prepared to handle classes at the local community college. Teachers are very helpful and patient with the students. If there is one thing that needs to change, the school should improve their sports program. It offers basketball, archery, and a few other sports for both boys and girls, but the level of rigor and organization can be improved.

This school has a reputation for grandstanding and exaggerating its own reputation for the sake of pulling in more students. As a private school, it must inflate its own ego in order to support itself, which makes it destined for destruction. The school would be much better if it weren't for the convoluted processes of bureaucracy and apathy that control it. The majority of the teacher lack empathy towards the students, and the fellow students prioritize competition and popularity over getting along with one another. As such, there is no school spirit at all. As for resources and and extracurricular options, it may as well be a desert. You may have a relatively well experience in this school if you're lucky enough to make connections with the right people on your first day, but, objectively, the school has basically nothing to offer. As a whole, the culture is one of toxic showboating.
I've been a student in Islamic School of Irving since pre-k and will be graduating this year. I've witnessed the facility develop and change for the better over the years. What I love and appreciate the most is the development, school expansion and the addition of classrooms that was very much needed for the growing school. Moreover, the dual credit program and AP classes are exceptional and really helped with my college career and my future studies.
