We really like the school. We have been with iSVA for the past 3 years and it has been amazing for my family.
The best part about iSchool Virtual Academy of Texas is that we can do our assignments on our own time. Which is great for students that have a job. The teachers are always there to help us too. The worst thing about iSchool Virtual Academy of Texas is that we have fewer live classes than an in person school. This year I only have one class a day but, I can always go to any of the classes to ask for help. I would like to see a change in assignments, especially for math, because not all of them are clear on what they say. Overall, iSchool Virtual Academy of Texas is the best school I’ve ever been in. They care for everyone’s individual needs.
I love Ischool Virtual Academy of Texas. I am actively participating in my fourth year enrolled here, and am still satisfied. Ischool Virtual allows me the flexibility to do my school work whenever, and wherever I like. I am able to participate in far more extracurricular activities because I have more time available to do what I love.
I started my journey with an online public school in my 8th-grade year. The first year was a trial run and I ended up graduating 4 years later with a high GPA and more confidence in myself than I had when I started.
My teachers were fantastic! They were patient and willing to help me become my best at my pace. I enjoyed interacting with my classmates via Blackboard and how my teachers tried to make classes fun. It was not always easy, I did struggle from time to time. Doing online school taught me how to be independent in my studies and made me better at my time management. My mom used to say, "If you can do online school now, you will succeed in college."
The difficulties with online public school were technical issues that interfered with Blackboard collaborates and also they still participated in the State exams required in order to pass on to the next grade and to graduate. I would like to see the State exam requirements go away.
Thank you, iSchool!

Since the pandemic, I've completely been isolated from the world, when I first began Ischool Virtual Academy of Texas it completely changed me in total. It scared me in the start but the staff there being online is very connected and supportive. They changed my perspective of academic learning in being more organized and responsible at such a young age.
did not use for middle school but would recommend for high school students. if they are not social butterfly
Best part of being enrolled is the immediate connection you make with each teacher no matter what the class size. The amount of computer skills that one gains from navigating the schools program and completing assignments were made to help each and every student be successful. The worst part was I literally had no days off . I can honestly say there was no down side of it. If I had to do it over again I would choose ischool virtual. I definitely would recommend the school.
The success coach should not have graduated high school she doesn't know any math and always tells me to ask another teacher.
It is super fun, and every person there is super-duper kind. They are all very, very engaging, and are willing to be your friends and support you.
The teachers were very nice and professional and the work was on par with other, in person schools. They should make it easier for students to socialize with each other.
This was my very first year of online schooling and I really enjoyed it. This online school allowed me to focus on my studies without peer distractions. I really enjoyed how the teachers were always available to answer questions and I liked the fact we did most of our work in class and didn't have much home work.
This was a wonderful experience for me and I share my great experience of online schooling with everyone I know! I was also very grateful to receive a loner lap top and printer so that I had all needed to be successful with my studies.
I am proud to say that I made A/B honor roll with this online school and I am looking forward to doing it again next year!

Texas Virtual Academy is the best school I have ever attended. The teachers truly do care for their students. They don’t typcially call you, but they do email you a lot. The plus side of not calling a lot is that there are students who have anxiety and struggle even answering the phone. This way they don’t feel pressured to answer. I came to this school in January or February of 2015. I was an eighth grader and it was the best experience ever. I started to love learning again. I transferred to another school in late 2015 and I did NOT like it! I wanted to go back to TXVA. I did that and am so glad that I did. I love this school. The teachers care so much. It’s a wonderful environment.
I loved going to TXVA because it allowed me a lot of flexibility. However, the teachers completely give away the answers to everything which is leaving me completely unprepared for college and all of the teachers seem to be a little confused. Nobody answers questions quickly.
Good school I think that they make math more confusing than it needs to be. But it may also be that way in other school. I have enjoyed my times there but I am so excited to leave. It is a great school if you work as much as I do.
I love that most of my assignment are due around 11 pm which gives me time to do other things throughout the day, for example i know a lot of people work during the day then do their assignments when they get home. One downside is you really don't have to study that much it is a very easy program even the AP classes are a breeze.
This program is absolutely amazing is so many ways. You join live Class Connects that you can talk to kids all over texas! But the one thing I like about this program is that it is a lot like college work, the way it is set up, it gets you prepared for college and what the work is going to be like.
I've been in Texas Virtual Academy for well over 4 years now. While the school offers the flexibility you're looking for in a virtual school, you must realize what it also entails.
- Teachers/Staff: I have no complaints about the teachers, I feel like they do they best that they can for students, given that they sometimes teach multiple courses, and have to handle hundreds of students alone. The staff really cares for their students and motivates them. My teachers and staff were there for me whenever I needed them despite there being so many students!
- Students: This is just something I've noticed from my time here. Many students are unmotivated, and lazy. They never attend the class sessions and probably are inactive half of the school year, never logging in to do their work. In a virtual school, self motivation, and discipline is a **must**. It's easy to slack and cheat since it's all online coursework, but you won't get far in life if this is your general approach to things.
