iSchool High School The Woodlands is an Early College High School (ECHS) program that gives students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and as associate degree at the same time. This platform does a great job preparing students for a four-year University. The only real downside is the lack of traditional high school sports and the activitiess that go along with that.
It's a great mix of student driven and faculty led curriculum. It relies heavily on students to own their education. The teachers really try to build a relationship with each student.
I’m a Sophmore in this school and let me just say that iSchool High has many great opportunities. The thing that caught my attention the most from this school is how all of my classmate are good people. There is like zero bullying, and everyone is nice to everyone despite their differences. Although not everyone is BFFS, everyone is nice and respectful which is something rare nowadays in traditional public schools. The only complaint I have for this school is the school spirit. I wish they did more fun activities that would make students have more fun and enjoy school more. We basically just study, and have some breaks but wish we had more school spirit stuff and activities as a whole school… we don’t see seniors and juniors as often and don’t even see the freshmen much other than in dismissal and mornings and SOMETIMES in the hall or in break. Otherwise I love this school, teachers are caring, and nice. Plus, if all goes well I would be saving half my time for my desire degree.
Many of the teachers were unhelpful when it came to understanding the material for long-term memory. They focused more on passing exams and getting you into college rather than helping students learn. They pushed many of the students in the same direction, even though everyone learns in different ways.
Overall, the Ischool High staff at the woodlands are ver caring, friendly, positive and always encourage you to do your best. The staff are always willing to give a helping hand and are always looking for new ways to help make sure the students really understand what they are learning. There are times where it feels like the work load is overwhelming and sometimes can feel like the teachers are being a bit “pushy” but really it is them just making sure we get our work done. The things I would like to see change is giving students a longer break or finding ways to make the classroom fun and comfortable.
My time at iSchool High The Woodlands was an amazing experience for me. I had pillars of support from everyone; my teachers, the faculty, and my fellow students! My teachers were the best, especially my junior and senior homeroom teacher. She pulled me from a dark time in my life, and inspired me to do better. Because of her I got into my dream school, am part of the university’s new sport team, and got an academic scholarship for my tuition! This school cared about me, truly. Without them I never would have gotten where I am, and thanks to their college dual credit program I was able to clear some classes with my university that would have wasted my time, now I can focus on the core classes of my major
iSchool of the Woodlands gave me the opportunity to study at my own pace as well as participate in a dual credit program through Lone Star College. I completed high school along with my Associate of Science degree. It is a great program for students who wish to complete both programs.
I am actually at iSchool High Atascocita, but it's really the same school. Staff actually care about students and want them to succeed!! It's amazing that you can get your associate's degree or any college credit through this program for free! I will be graduating in 2024 with my associates degree at the age of 17 which is truly incredible. This truly is the best route to take for anyone who wants to pursue a college education. Because I want to get a master's degree, I will probably be able to graduate at a young age of 21 years old. A lot of the high school portion is online, but it teaches good study habits with learning yourself and teacher help is always still available. I would recommend this school to anyone anyway! However, don't go to this school if you want lots of sports or clubs because there isn't much of that offered here.
My twin girls are Sophomores currently & we love the school and staff. Both of my girls are ahead in their lessons and enjoying their college classes. I highly recommend the school.
It's good for students who can manage themselves, and get work done. The best part about it is the dual credit, but if you value the traditional "high-school experience" don't go here.
This school is for people who want to go into college. The staff here are helping prepare and find opportunities for you to go into the college you want to. It is very academic-oriented and has no sports. If you are looking for sports here, find another place. I think that could be improved upon sports and clubs. They should both have their spotlight at this school, as some people here are athletic. If they can do this, then the school can be even better than it is now.
I love how there is tutoring if you need it and I love how I am enrolled in college and high school for free. I think they should have more school get-togethers and fun activities for everyone to do.
I currently go to Ischool high, and let me tell you, the teachers are so helpful and they care about you.
Overall, the experience at iSchool is pretty good. You mainly teach yourself the subjects and can go to a teacher for aid when needed. It’s a duel school so we constantly go off campus to attend actual college courses which aid in our high school degree as well.
Excellent high school, my son is very happy and he is feeling that is improving his preparation for the college with a rigorous academic curriculum
I benefited quite a lot from this school's extraordinary system. I able to be a step ahead with the chance this school offers of getting my associates degree with my high school diploma. The staff entire staff is very helpful regarding academics. Overall it is a great school for academics.
I wish teachers and staff cared more about students and that there was more options for classes. There also is minimal school spirit if at all. However, the school is really good for independent students who wish to get a head start on their college career.
