I love my High School, they employ wonderful staff and I love the opportunity to receive my Associates degree for free! They make the process of taking college classes at an early age easy and seamless and are always there to help! I would recommend iSchool High at University Park to anybody. I have even have a couple of friends attend after I suggested it to them! It really is a great opportunity!
One of the best things about iSchoolHigh is the teacher and student relationships. It’s a small school, only 100 students are allowed for each graduating class, so it’s easier to create meaningful relationships with the teachers and fellow students. In addition, you’re allowed to experience what it’s like to be a college student all while being a high school student simultaneously. You get the freedom to pick your classes, freedom to network with your professors, and freedom to get graduate with an associate degree of your choice (either science or arts). However, I would say the downside of attending iSchoolHigh is missing out the high school experience. They don’t provide sports nor do they have pep rallies. Their after school hours are somewhat limited too (thirty minutes maximum). That being said, one of the things I would like to see iSchool change is their school hours. I don’t mind staying after school longer or come to school earlier for the extracurricular activities.
The staff members were consistently warm and encouraging, providing me with the necessary assistance whenever needed. Thanks to their guidance, I am now tackling my future with an associate's degree. I am enormously grateful for the opportunities that were afforded to me. Still, as a high school student attending college classes, it can be intimidating to interact with individuals who are significantly older than me. This was particularly challenging for me, having been homeschooled previously. Additionally, the coursework can be quite demanding.
