It was overall a great experience and I enjoyed my time at Bay Academy. Also, the teachers tend to be really great and the workload is very easily managed. The school has some really fun activities, like Pi Day, and the location is wonderful with the subway and buses very close. However, it is a very clique-orientated school and it is difficult to get involved in activities that are not related to your "talent" (for example, there was sports talent, science talent, creative writing talent, drama talent, etc.).
I'm a senior in bay academy, class of 2021, and although COVID ruined the fun we were supposed to have this year, it was still a fun experience for the year and a half that I went. I love some of the teachers yet others are a nightmare. The grading system is really unfair but your teachers give you a few chances to get them up before trimester ends. I wish I could've gone on the senior trip to Boston (overnight trip) and have a prom and graduation, but i guess i have to wait until senior year of high school. I advise this school to the 5th graders who like making fun memories.
I’m an 5th grader going into Bay. I’ve heard many good reports about this school and overall it makes me feel like this is going to be a right decision of mine. I will cherish my moments there. Good luck to the people attending there or are going to attend there. Best of luck to all! <3
