I'm currently an 8th grader in this school and graduating in about a month. In my opinion, the school is average. It is decent academic wise. I've learned a lot in this school although many contents were like a review of the topics we've seen in the previous grade/s. Also, we didn't have as much work in 6th and 7th grade compared to 8th. In 8th grade, there are more homework assignments, projects, tests, and ect. It's like they're trying to teach us the remainder of what we haven't learned all in 8th. Most of the teachers are understanding and good at their job. Some teachers seem like they can't care less and some care too much. Other than that, most of the students show respect toward others but fights occur often and some people take "jokes" too far. Lastly, some things you need to know are this school is very diverse, the hallways and cafeteria are usually crowded, and there is bullying. Overall, the school is good enough but I would choose a better school.
It was honestly a great year!! Because of the coronavirus 8th graders could not graduate so Sethlow send us our cap and gowns for free. The diploma’s are to arrive in a few days.
When I went there, almost every month there was a fight that broke out during lunchtime. I would like this to change. The faculties are strict on policies, but that is them reinforcing the students to follow rules. Some teachers have a basis towards students based on the opinion of favoritism. The cafeteria food was decent; I did not expect much. In terms of learning, the 6th grade was mostly a repeat to me. Most of the stuff I have learned, though it was a great breeze to adjust to a new school. It is really a zone school besides half of the schoolmates that lived quite far. Everything was what I would have expect to see in a public school, though bit more dirtier. There are a few of places to go eat after school. Seth low park is directly across.
