This school couldn't possibly get any worst then it already is or so I thought, I'm in my last year of this school and I can not wait to get out of this hell. Sure some teachers really care and really do try to help you but some others (ahem, Ms. Heron) are truly the worst and don't even try to help you pass the Regents that honor 8th-grade classes take, I do truly feel bad for anyone who's coming to this school next year or who gets in Harvard Academy.
I.S. 61 is a decent school. It showed me American school system since I was a immigrant. It was my first school in America. The school was not much different from where I came from. But the teacher in I.S. 61 was much nicer and even when they teach, here and then they jock a little which makes the class refreshing and not boring. I was disappointed with the lunch and the rules its rules in cafeteria. The lunch was not healthy, I personally didn't like it and before eating there is a long annoying announcement. In my country the school food was delicious and the portion is fill filling. Oh and the summer program is great in I.S. 61. I went to the long tennis program where i learned to play long tennis. It was my first time and I had very fun. The coach was friendly and very helpful and I also made so some friends during the program which was nice.
