Still getting to know the school, so far things have been alright, considering we’re still in a pandemic. My daughter is happy and doesn’t give a hard time to get to school, like she use to in the past.

is49 was not a good school. the regents classes were okay, and the teachers were alright, but there just wasn't enough at is49. i missed out on a lot that my peers had, because of how underfunded it was. there were also many questionable events that happened during my time at is49, which have been on the news. is49 does not have the resources that other middle schools in staten island have, and it is also not the safest school in staten island. my time in middle school could have been better.

Despite not being in the greatest of neighborhoods, IS 49 is a vibrant school in which everyone is just chill. There's really no bad energy unless you make it so and the staff are very genuine.

I like Bertha A. Dreyfus because of the teachers and some of the students.. Some teachers will treat you like how they would treat their kids and some students are nice and some are now.. I met new peoples every year in this school so are awesome so are not.

Unsure this school my son was getting picked on by a bully. Finally my son had enough and little boy put him in a head lock. My son was nervous hit boy. My school was put out the school for almost 2months. Was not able to participate in any senior activities something my son three years for. My son never been in trouble, he's been a monitor everything. Just have whole new opinion now about school. They don't do what's right, they do what is going to not make them look bad.
