Prall was an awesome school! The teachers were usually really nice, save for the social studies teachers (watch out for the social studies teachers, they can bite if you're not careful), the "encores" or arts are super fun and we really enjoy them! They have a wide variety, like drama, art, band, and more! The kids there are really nice, some are pretty mean though but, well, what do you expect in a middle school? If you surround yourself with good friends, no doubt you'll push away the haters and have a great time! It's a good place to meet new people and people go there from various walks of life!
This school offers Living Environment and Algebra regents, which are taught by awesome teachers who know just how to connect with their students. I couldn't ask for a better school.
One criticism could be the lack of promotion of clubs and activities. I was literally there for two years and I didn't even realize I could join the esteemed debate team that IS 27 is famous for.

Mmmmm... While it wasn't the best school in the world, it did prepare me with a tougher attitude when I got out the door. Didn't prepare me for high school or college, since many of the classes where easy and most teachers didn't grade harshly. Though a few teachers won't expect anything but your best.
Due to the wide range of subjects at IS 27, there are many different paths students can take for the best experience for them. For example, one student may take theater instead of lego robotics, or technology class instead of art class. The academic classes are challenging in nature, but are easy to schedule into. Overall, the academics are very strong at Anning S. Prall and allow the students attending there to become well-prepared for high school.
