My experience at Iroquois has been a roller coaster, that is for sure! In 2021, I started at Iroquois as a sophomore at 15. That year was okay, I met some cool people, a few of which I am still friends with today. Most of the people I met, were friendly and inviting. I didn't like how teachers tried to get you to speak in front of the class against your will. In 2022, I was at Iroquois as a junior. This year was fine at the beginning then, it became exhausting and draining. There was so much work and so much to keep up with. The end of the year was better and fun, I think thats because the year was coming to an end, and I was ready for summer and becoming a senior. My junior year, I didn't really appreciate all of the staff, and teachers, even the principal coming for me and my friends. We did the same thing as other students and got worse punishment. They treated us unfairly and didn't give us the same opportunities as others.
I really love the school. The staff are nice and the teachers are even nicer. They work hard to ensure that their students go in to the next level in their education and or life and they value personal relationships with students too. I also like how inclusive the school is, all the activities and events that happen within the school are usually student made or at least have student involvement, which I love. The reason why I only gave this school a 4/5 is because of the community within the school. It’s uncommon for a fight to break out here and there while attending this school and that’s very disheartening. It sometimes makes the environment unsafe for anyone close by. However, I do love the fact that the school is very diverse with white students being the minority. There are so many different cultures and different backgrounds, you’d never find another school with the same diversity as Iroquois High School.
Teachers were one of the best i've ever had, building were save, safety protocol were careful monitor and drill were schedule every semester regularly, students were friendly and encouraging.
