Ironwood High School truly is just better. The level of support provided by teachers and the administration is unmatched to support found anywhere else. There is not one teacher employed at Ironwood High School who wouldn't arrive early or stay late to help a student. Each teacher, administrator, or security guard at Ironwood makes a gesture to ensure not only a successful academic career but also a life that is supported. While academics are the most important part of Ironwood, athletics are supported, suggested and pushed greatly. Any resources at the school, textbooks, laptops, desks, classroom environment, are all set to a standard to jumpstart a student's learning while being beneficial and reliable.

Overall, my experience at Ironwood has been very average. We have quite a few amazing teachers, but there's always a few bad apples. The administration isn't proactive or up to par at all.. they fail to listen to student concerns. My friend and I reported two of the Special Education teachers for being very aggressive with a student in front of us, and the school failed to even look into the harassment after assuring us they would. Additionally, there are staff on this campus that treat students terribly and not as they should...as to how they're still employed is unbeknownst to me.
Our clubs and student involvement are great, and most of my peers are a part of a community on campus (whether it's athletics, music, a cultural club, or anything in between). I've played sports here, been on the Sports Medicine team, and am involved in our district's inter-school STEM program.
Overall, Ironwood High School is unextraordinary as far as high schools go, and there are highs and lows.
The ranking is outdated, we have been ranked as 3rd in public high schools in Arizona! It makes sense we attract the best students for our ib program. We offer many sports, clubs, and opportunities. The environment here is kind and safe with our wonderful teachers, staff, police man, and students. Ironwood is such a fun place to spend your next 4 years!
