Beginning with Freshman year and ending with senior year, the overall experience was awesome! The teachers were extremely helpful and made all students feel prepped for each year that lied ahead of them. The diversity that the school offered was something wonderful and the school culture always made students feel like home. Teachers and staff members always had great resources, especially for students struggling in certain courses. The overall experience was incredible and I would definitely recommend Ironwood High School to any student or parent.

I loved that Ironwood High School strives for excellence in all they do. I had wonderful teachers who really cared about the students and always made class fun! Mrs. Robb is the best biology teacher I ever had. She is very energetic and is willing to help students succeed. Mr. Mangan was a great English teacher who really helps you understand poetry. Mr. Flanagan made history come alive and helped us to learn how to apply what’s going on now to events that happened before. I had a great high school experience at Ironwood.
Ironwood High School has a dedicated staff and wonderful academics, especially in regards to the IB, AP, and Honors program. Teachers and counselors often directly involve themselves in the success of the students. However, the arts are severely underfunded and are not given the attention that they require to be very successful. The school also suffers from out-dated resources and breaking facilities, due to budget cuts. Often, lockers do not work, textbooks fall apart, and students are left without proper district provided resources for their classes.
