Great teachers! Great school! We have been in this district for years and initially used school of choice for Irmo Elementary. When we moved, we stayed in the district but moved to the school zone for Irmo Elementary!
Irmo Elementary School is a very special place. The entire staff is a family built on caring for, nurturing and developing the lives of the students at IES. From Principal McCaskill, to the custodial staff, every single person touches the lives of the students in a positive way. The care and love the students receive goes well above and beyond any standard set. This environment means students having difficulty feel safe to reach out, but that teachers are also in touch enough to pick up on it before they have to. The family at IES makes an incredible difference in the lives of their students.
Irmo Elementary is a wonderful school with a family feeling! It’s like a second home! From the teachers to the administration, they truly care and do what’s best for your child, in every way!
