The school was horrible. The staff was horrendous and teachers did not know how to teach. Everything was old and disgusting. Thinking about this school gives me depression. Safety is at an all time low. There are only a few after school programs. some of them are overflowing with students and others are very exclusive. The school claims to be an art and performing school but the most drawing I've ever done is doodling in class. The school ban water bottles for an entire year. Kids often vaped in bathrooms and cheated on state tests. Drug dealing occurred in class. Kids in my eight grade class couldn't even do long division. I am struggling in high school because the school failed to teach me. we used textbooks that were 25 years old. DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILDREN HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE!!!
It provides kids with basic needs to succeed in high school. I attended elementary school since I Was small. Currently, I'm in 9th grade, I haven't had a problem with anything they have been teaching me in high school. Because the teachers provided me with lessons and words of knowledge. During my years at Ruiz, I joined multiple extracurricular activities that have helped me be where I am today. I can say that that school had a lot of school spirit within the students. Each year they manage to have a school concert where kids demonstrate to others what they've been working on the past year.
Does poorly diversity sucks and academics does poorly. Honestly Pickard or Orozco is a better school.
I graduated in 2009, and although things were different back there, I was bright, got into a selective enrollment high school and graduated from college in 2017. I am pursuing a graduate degree at the moment as well, this school was everything to me back then.
I like being in this school it was my favorite school i ever been in since i was k to 8th grade. My overall experience is that every one of the school been good to me when i was there.
