Ira is an amazing small community school. We play Sixman football and compete in Division 1A cross country, basketball, baseball, softball, track, tennis, and golf. With class sizes being so small everyone has a chance to play and participate in all extra curricular activities. Almost all sports and other UIL teams advance past district. Ira has excellent test scores and is considered an Exemplary rated school in Texas. I am the fifth child in our family that will graduate from Ira. My mother is also a graduate and my niece is currently in first grade. To say we love Ira is an understatement. The community is very involved in support for the school and it’s students. The saying “it takes a village” is a definite match Ira.
Ira High School was a good school that provided a quality education. Overall the teachers and staff were friendly and the facility was kept clean. My friends and I had very much fun at the pep rallies, games, dances, and other fun events.
Ira School is a fantastic place to come to get quality education. The teachers & administration really care about you. Come to this district to learn & feel respect and be one of the Bulldog Team!! Go Bulldogs!!
