Best middle school in the state- period. There is something for everyone at Simmons. The academics are challenging and engaging and the Fine Arts, specifically the choir and drama departments are well beyond what you will find at other middle schools. Overall, it doesn't get any better than Simmons!

My 6th grade son has absolutely loved his first year as a middle schooler. And as one of the other reviews stated, the fine arts at this middle school are second to none, specifically the theater and choir programs. The musicals are beyond what you might see at the high school level and the show choir is the best in the southeast. They also have math team, science club, and scholar's bowl that are wonderful additions to the academic programs. All around, it doesn't get better than this school.
Our experience at Simmons has been terrific. The administration is outstanding -- especially the principal. They've provided a challenging but nurturing environment for our academically talented child, and help figure out how to properly motivate him. They've provided extracurricular activities appropriate for his age and abilities. The teachers have been outstanding, and most of them have embraced technology in a way that complements our child's education. We love Simmons!
