My children are young. They started in PreK 4. They both have had great experiences and are definitely receiving a quality education from experienced teachers that do an amazing job! Two complaints would be that the aftercare program permits a lot of TV watching and the cafeteria food and aftercare snacks are not very healthy (apple juice and chocolate milk, Lunchables, muffins, etc.). But I hear this is common for most local schools.
Overall, iPrep Academy is a STEM focused school that does not offer a lot of options for those seeking a career in the arts or sports. There also aren't many afterschool activities and the school lacks in spirit (fundraisers are super challenging). However, its strong suit is that it is a relatively small school, so there is a good opportunity for building up a personalized teacher-student relationship. Regarding the teachers, most of the teachers are excellent and try their best to accommodate the student's needs.
I like the freedom and independence iPrep provides but I think the school can grow in terms of clubs and activities. I love the fact that we get internships and really enjoy my own internship since it is a step towards my desired field and I like that juniors and seniors get to leave campus early for internship, dual enrollment, and volunteering. I also enjoy the fact that we have MacBook laptops that we can take home in order to use for school. This has especially helped during the quarantine because we're already accustomed enough to using the internet for class to cope with using online classes. However, the arts are woefully underdeveloped and I think they could definitely use some work to make the school much more colorful and interesting.
