Very good athletics and academics. Many excellent teachers and coaches as well as other faculty members. Good sized classes and all teachers offer extra help. All programs (College Prep, Honors, A.P., and STEP ) are different and can be a good opportunity for your son to ease or harden his schedule. A very strong public service program is also built into the curriculum which looks good on a college resume. Very strong brotherhood in which will stick with them for their lives. Friends are easy to make due to the diverse student body. This definitely one of New York's best college prep schools!
Great academic school with a lot of clubs and activities outside of sports! Iona has one of the best football teams in the state as well as many other great sports programs. If sports aren’t your thing there are also many clubs to partake in. Teachers are super supportive and will help you with almost anything.
Iona prep offered many resources and different programs for many students to find interests, hobbies, friends, etc. In regards to academics, some teachers were exceptional and went above and beyond for their students while showing their passion for their respective subjects. However, there were many teachers that could not do their job and a lot of the material presented was either boring or uninteresting.
