This school puts a lot to work into the student's education. Starting from kindergarten, students are able to learn abilities many other schools do not start to teach until later in school-hood. However, the school needs some work on the discipline and guidelines. There have been signs of favoritism and leniency towards some students but not others. The teachers care deeply about their students and their education, but they also need to value the education of consequences.
I have been here since the beginning, and it has been interesting to watch the journey of it changing and growing. While the school experience sometimes varies, the teachers and staff are what make the community amazing. Perfect for people looking for a smaller, tight-knit community that includes people from all over western NC.
ICImagine is a very unique school, its k-12 and a newer school. Although there is a lot I would change about my schooling I would not change the teachers, or the fact that my school always allowed me to speak about what I thought needed changing. I felt as if they always valued what I had to say.
Because this school is a public charter, you get a wide variety of students. So, if you expect this school to be different from any other high school then don't. However, since it is a smaller class size per grade and there are not as many teachers, there is a close connection with everyone. This makes the school feel more like a community, which is something you would not get an average high school. Their grading policy is lax but it does depend on the teacher. I have been attending this school since it opened in 2014 and it has grown so much. Even though it is a k-12 school, each of the floors are divided and there is never any mixing of age groups. The experience overall is very different from a normal high school, but some students may really need that and I think this school does a good job of catering to students who are having a hard time.
This is not a good school. Hgtofurcifcigcfixifcfucifcigcigcigcgcigcfcifcigcigcgicigvigvgivigvigvggvgv
The school has bowed down to teachers whole forgetting needs of the children. Sticking to Virtual schooling even as schools in the area opened . Even as parents begged and the governor requested. Shameful
When I was there, they didn’t take racism seriously at all. They would brush it off and never deal with it with the severity that it deserved.
Invest collegiate imagine was truly a life changing experience. From the moment I transferred in my sophomore year, it was like I was in an entirely different world. The small class sizes allowed for close relationships with both students and teachers. The small school population meant I wasn’t just a number anymore. I felt more seen by my peers and teachers and because of this I developed some of the best friendships and connections I’ve ever had. I even won prom queen! It was a complete 180 from being a fish in the sea of my previous public schooling to one of the pack, knowing that my role and my actions truly made a difference in the environment around me. I made so many friends and overcame a large depressive spell all thanks to what I consider the best school in Asheville. I will never forget what ICI did for me, and I am always encouraging others to enroll themselves or their friends and family. It will truly change your life.
ICI is a great school. My kids started at the one here in asheville when it first opened. They were barely passing in regular public schools but now are mostly a's and b's. The teachers and staff are great there.
My grandsons have been at ICI for 5 years and I can tell you that the level and quality of education is outstanding! The teachers and staff are dedicated to teaching each child the basics of course yet they teach them to be respectful, inclusive and kind to their class mates & teachers. Every day is a good experience not just an education.
All schools have pros and cons. Invest is a great school for big families and people who prefer small family feel
I have been to an awful public school (TC Roberson), done a year of homeschool, and then went here. This school is amazing, with or without bias. Teachers are on your side, genuinely care, and truly get you prepared and knowledgeable on their subject for the exam. The administrators take care of any rising issues ASAP. The students are all equal and it is a friendly environment. I could not recommend a better school in the North Carolina.
Invest Collegiate is a place where you can be yourself, we're one big kooky family and no one is ever left out. Some things that I would like to see change is the disciplinary actions taken when a student is in the wrong over something, I believe that to see a successful school run you must first have strict ground rules and IC Imagine does not always uphold those rules.
I am a new elementary parent at ICI. I’ve not had any bad experiences with staff, policies or communication. My daughter feels loved and safe at school (as do I). My daughter is being challenged by her teachers daily. On of my favorite things about this school is that they do community service projects! It’s a great time for kids to learn about others. It has many opportunities for you to serve the school whether it be a classroom volunteer or serving at an out of school event. Don’t be worried about space. It is sort of an open plan but the kids adapt within the first week. This is a temporary building until they get permanently moved around 2019-2020.
Invest Collegiate Imagine is a new school and with ever new school in challenges. The building is crowded and noisy. There are not enough teachers and staff. Although the lesson plans are well thought through, the learning environment is not challenging.
