The best experiences I've had in Intrinsic Schools- Belmont Campus would be with the teachers. The teachers in intrinsic are very helpful and sincere. They always look out for your best interest and give you support whenever one needs it. The worst part of my experience of going to Intrinsic would be the deans. They tend to not listen to what one says unless you bring it up to someone of higher ranking. I would like to see change in the way deans handle student issues, hearing the student's side of the story would be a great change in Intrinsic.
I started out as a 7th grader and finished as a Senior.
My first impression of the school was how it did not look like a school.
I have enjoyed the teachers, environment, and freedoms that have come with the school. Im glad we have the ability to work with chromebooks and not lug around heavy books.
By far my favorite thing about intrinsic is their connection the staff build with you and the effort they put in to making sure you're ready for the next part of your life, whatever that may be.

This high school is definitely not an ordinary high school. It’s a charter school so it’s not public. The whole modern look of the school is nice. The learning is good with different opportunities. Now the bad parts. Some deans were a problem, the rules and new rules are so ridiculous.
Intrinsic Schools helped me apply to colleges, and bring up the talk about college when I didn't even think college was for me as a first-generation student. I do wish that Intrinsic Schools could've assisted me more with the college process once I entered college.
Intrinsic is overall a slightly above average school because it is modern and provides consistent advising to students for college readiness. There are very few clubs and doesn’t necessarily branch into specific interests of the student body. The academics are mostly well-taught but I think some math classes should have a TA to share different ways of explaining concepts and feedback. Since it is in Chicago, it does at times feel unsafe as there has been two shootings and the school is in the middle of a busy street. There is not much variety in sports because it’s a small charter, but that doesn’t cause the closeness between students and staff to falter.
I liked how the classes are arranged since is not ordinary high school is spaced out into 3 spots for works. I want to see some changes on how one gets supposedly 4 absences when you miss one day.
Intrinsic Schools Belmont Campus is overall a great school in the Hermosa community. They motivate students to do well by providing office hours where students can attend they are having trouble and have a great culture team to handle difficult situations with students. We have 4 social workers to which students can talk to if they need support. We have a post secondary class which allows students learn more about the different pathways someone can take after high school.
Intrinsic Schools is very unique it was one of the first schools to primarily rely on computers before it spiked in popularity. I have been at Intrinsic for 6 years now and I have been in numerous programs. They do a thing called C-days every wednesday where students are encourage to explore an interest which is something I don't hear a lot of schools doing. I love Intrinsic and especially there Seminar class where students are provided with guidance and the help to apply for colleges and to scholarships. Its a great and loving communicating that help evaluate their students as much as they can.
My experience with intrinsic schools was amazing. I started my year in the 9th grade I was scared and nervous to start high school because I thought I wouldn't meet new friends since I graduated from a different school but then, unfortunately, that friend graduated from intrinsic but it's okay I still talk to him time pass by I meet new friends and I happy but now I am senior and I am sad because I don't want to leave my friends behind they become like my sisters.
I love it at Intrinsic. I was able to call home. The teachers and staff has really shaped the person I am today. i would highly recommend this school to incoming 7th graders or high school students.
It really is an amazing school with amazing opportunities the only thing I will say is the dress code sometimes gets annoying.
I would like to see the administration be more involved with the students when they are having a problem.
My overall experience at Intrinsic High School has been interesting. Going into a school as a new student, while others have been there for 7th and 8th grade, it was not the easiest to find friends. Other than that, the support system the school provides has been okay but can be better. There was more support provided to students as freshmen and sophomores, compared to junior and senior year. There have been really good teachers that have left, leaving the school to struggle. All in all, my experience has had its ups and downs, but I am glad to say I have been able to strive.
Intrinsic Schools has provided me with A1 learning and a very good academic environment. They make sure each student is learning at their own capability and make sure every student is on track.
The preparation done for students post secondary plans is great. We are given a lot of information on colleges and postsecondary options that i think many other schools may not have available. I didn't rate a 5 because for classes we cannot choose our schedule but thats mostly it.
I am glad I have gone to this school for my high school career because I have gotten an acceptance into my dream university earlier this year and I’m happy to say I couldn’t have done it without this school! :)
It is a great school. They truly care and put the students best options in mind. As someone who has been there since 7th grade it has been an amazing journey to see the way the school has adapted and overcome issues. They still have areas to improve but other than that, amazing!
