From International School of Denver

We are a multicultural, multilingual school, welcoming children from age three
through eighth grade into our inclusive, globally-minded community. Our approach uniquely combines French, Spanish, and Chinese immersion education with an interdisciplinary International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme in our middle school. Children who begin language immersion at a young age benefit both neurologically and academically; most importantly to us, language acquisition develops more compassionate, empathetic world citizens. Our native speaking faculty, and cultural events like World Tea Fair and International Bash
enrich learners and families’ experiences and celebrate our diversity. We are the only school in the Denver region that offers 5th-grade learners the chance to study abroad in France, Spain, or China, immersed in the cultures and communities of their target language programs. 8th graders also spend 10 days in Costa Rica on an IB capstone service-learning trip each spring.

    International School of Denver Reviews

Our child has been at this school for 11 years and it is her second home. She has always felt safe and secure at this place and it has been a constant source of education and compassion for her. Beyond being a true bilingual, she is multicultural to the core. She sees the world in varied lenses and really has loved developing into her own through the IB middle school program. We cannot say enough positive things about this school, the admin, the other families and course the fabulous teachers. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

We moved to Denver having living abroad for some time. It was vital for us that our child would continue to be educated in a progressive and globally minded school context. Our experience over the last few years has been almost always positive - leadership have been responsive, the learning is truely unique, and the older students/alumni a real beacon of what an international baccalaureate education can bring.

We are convinced that our Lower School child will continue to prosper at ISD as she moves through the school into the MYP.
