Others Before Self | Service-Learning Project
Every year, all students in grades K-12 put their lessons into action in a student-led service-learning project named after our motto, “Others Before Self.” With minimal help from teachers, the students are responsible for the entire process—from brainstorming, researching, and choosing an idea to planning, organizing, and executing the service project that gives back to their community.

International Leadership of Texas - Lancaster K-8 (Elementary School) Reviews
For a special needs child I do not think this is the best environment for them. Based on other ratings I’ve seen I don’t think this is it. My second child is special needs and it was extremely hard with him being there. I wasn’t ever really able to track his progress on what he was actually learning. So on that note it’s a no for me. Otherwise pretty good school and environment for kids.
They are interested in the student learning and they are in constant communication with the parent.
The worst school ever! If you can work in disorganization, no structure, mess and drama, segregation of the African America kids then this is the school for YOU!
The mutilgual concept is great, but it becomes pointless when the students aren’t learning the basic concepts (Elar,Math,Science, Social Studies and Social Skills)
As a teacher, I’ve experience racism from my colleagues. The African American students are separated from the entire class and are labeled as BAD/BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS. The staff cares more about the personal business of others than the students education. The daily schedule for staff/stuff constantly changes without the proper preparation.
I honestly could go ON & ON how unorganized and RACIST this school is! If you care about your child’s well being and education I ADVISE you to go elsewhere.
