My experience at ilt has been good for the fact that I have made a lot of friends. This school has also help me advance more into Chinese and explore more of my Hispanic heritage.
Overall at ILT I feel like I grew a lot as far as personal. On an academic level I grew by a lot I have been able to learn more things in just one ye at than I have in five, which is impressive.
School is small so it's easy for new students to make friends, although the school its fairly small there are more things that happen in the school compared to a public high school just because it's a smaller school and it's easier for students to access things from each other.
Its a very good school i have been apart of ILTexas since the seventh grade school is what you make if you have a bad out look on school it going to be rough for you. The class are based on your abilty to learn there are AP classes for the faster learns and regular classes for other studented taht are learning on a diffrent level. I have personally had problems with this school with a incident taht had happened my first year attending ILTexas nothing was done. MY family tried evey thing you can think of even talk to the everyone possible we worked our way up the chain of command it felt like a waste of time for both of me and my mother it was a real bad severe injury.
i love the people i was surrounded by however their were instances where my education paid the price, i learned not math for 2 years straight and no physics.
At ILTexas, I've enjoyed learning Mandarin and Spanish. I love how most of the teachers actually care about the students. In all honesty, the only change I would like to see would be for the student's voices to be heard. Once we are heard, action would be taken, and from there the school would be a better place.
It is a great campus, I spent 4 years there and I am now a proud alumni!!! This school offers many clubs, activities, and deep curricular groups that’ll make your high school experience that much better. This high school is the definition of college readiness, and fulfills all aspects of a true high school education.
The school is average at best. One of the good qualities of the school include having the students learn both chinese and spanish at the same time while they're enrolled. However, one of the not so good qualities of the school is most of the language teachers who try to do their job are constantly taken for granted by the students, and the students barely pass. Besides COVID, I had a pretty average experience at this school.
At ILTexas AGPHS, we pride ourselves on leadership (Hence the name). With many opportunities for those interested in military, pursing in fine arts, becoming multilingual and more. Regarding becoming multilingual, we at ILTexas start our freshman year learning English, Spanish and Chinese all together. We continue this journey all the way to our senior year, and are taught thoroughly so that we can use our education throughout the rest of our lives. Along with becoming multilingual, those interested in military, and even those who aren’t, will be assigned a teacher who has persuade in military before and has shown leadership in their own personal lives. A true representative of what leadership means, and a mentor for all.
I attended ILTexas for a total of 4 years (7th-10th grade) and now in college I can give a proper assessment for the school. I feel like the school does not prepare students for college. With only a short range of AP classes offered and the "Leadership" aspect is just a selling point because leadership is very hard to teach in just one class. Finally, the biggest concern I would have as a parent is their business model. They build the cheapest buildings and student life is non-existent. You wanna know why? The place is FOR PROFIT. They stuff students into tight hallways like cattle to get the maximum money possible from the state just build another ILT campus and repeat the process. Disgusting.
I went to this school and it was okay, it was not what I expected. It was a good place to have friends and the teachers are good at teaching. Even though I Had some good memories I wouldn't go back.
International Leadership of Texas High School is not your average high school, it's small but everyone knows everyone and it's diverse in unity. I only connected to few people that didn't believe rumours that was said by me. The Teachers were amazing even though we all had that one annoying bad teacher. The activity was splendid and life changing.
Attending ILTexas AGPHS taught me that money is everything and a school without funding is very limited in what it can achieve. The teachers have excellent personalities and make the school more enjoyable despite the many short comings of the school. The fine arts department budget is extremely low and is barely enough to send groups to perform outside of school.
Although my school is smaller than an average high school, it feels like home to me. I love having relationships with the teachers and they’re so helpful in any way. I know I can trust my teachers and I love the extracurricular and class options that we have. Our school even teaches Chinese Mandarin and all ethnicities and races are expressed and welcomed in my school. Bonds within students and teachers are unique unlike any other high schools and it’s a very welcoming community and environment at my school.
Over all, this school wants you to succeed. They never stop encouraging you. They are making tomorrow's leaders today.
For my first experience of high school, I liked how the teachers cared and makes sure that we understand. They offer tutoring of you need any help and what helped me focus more for my college resume is taking AP classes. The sports here are great. The coaches here push you hard to being successful and trying to make you be the best to win States.
This school doesn't really care about the students. The usage of crazy rules and overexaggeration really hurt it. For instance accidentally forgetting your I.D. can get you into ASD; which is a program to FORCE your child into working out as punishment. There lacks any security and its generally not safe. Also the lunch lacks quality. The food is boring and doesnt even taste good. Would not recommend going here
The main thing I like about the school is the family felt atmosphere. The teachers and administrators all treat you like they're own. For the last 4 years, I've been learning both Spanish and Chinese. I was reluctant at first, but now I understand that it is furthering my education and my life.
Great school! We have learned three languages and they influence leadership traits. Over all the staff is amazing and would recommend you’re student attend !
The thing that has been starting to work ou better is the house system which was a problem the last couple of years. However, it has improved and has made our house days much more entertaining. Teaching in my opinion is very hands on and easier for me to grasp and actually have fun in the class then just sitting a whole hour looking at the teacher talk. I also enjoy gym cause we actually workout and learn how to live a much more healthier lifestyle. The coaches want us to succeed and push our physical capacity to the max. Being in sports also makes students aware of their grades if they are failing so they can bring them back up or they'll be cut off.
