The teachers try their very best but our school is severally underfunded and understaffed. Aggieland High school although being rather small is very academically difficult for some students. In the past we have partners with universities such as Texas a&m and the University of Mississippi. Since we’re so small the Eagle community is very tight, everyone knows everyone. It makes it a fun learning environment. If you are looking at our school for athletics turn elsewhere, you will get nowhere here. We offer many AP classes and all of our regular classes are honors. If this school sounds like it’s for you you will probably enjoy it. It is super easy to make friends here.
I started attending ILTexas in 8th grade, and it's been an amazing thing to have teachers that have seen me grow. The academics were kind of rusty until about this year, we didn't have good academic programs, but now that the school has been established for a few years, it's gotten much better. Something Aggieland HS has that's different than CSISD is that we go an hour later to fit in an extra class- Chinese Class. Personally I hate it because we don't get out until after 4, but I enjoy learning Chinese, Spanish, and English at the same time. Currently, there aren't a lot of AP classes that are offered, so if that's something important to you, I would take that into consideration. Aggieland HS offers virtual learning as well, so if it's better to learn virtual you have access to virtual classrooms. Overall, I appreciate this school for helping me grow as a person, and encouraging me to challenge myself and grow as a person.
The best part about ILTexas Aggieland High School are the people in it. The teachers are amazing and try their absolute hardest to help the kids succeed. The lower administration is really great, but the overall district can be quite frustrating at times. The students have cultivated a culture of kindness, and it’s not hard to stay out of drama if that’s what’s desired.
