The teachers were the best of Macomb county. They truly cared about their students and wanted to see them succeed. Sure, everybody has a bad day, but these teachers truly wanted to see each and every student succeed.
The building was somewhat outdated due to the fact that it was an old middle school prior to IAM's installment. The food services were lackluster, but what can you expect from a large school district cafeteria?
The students were also the best of Macomb county. Sure, there were cliques, but every group of teenagers gets like that. These students truly wanted to succeed and go places in life.

International Academy of Macomb has been one of the best experience of life. I cannot tell you how much I love my decision for joining this school. It's a place like no other. Transitioning to the school, in the beginning, was also difficult because everyone in the school is complete strangers! Everyone came from different school districts from all over Macomb county, which made it a little scary trying to make new friends. But that was the fun part for me because those new friendships I gained since the beginning of freshman year have lasted to this day and have been growing stronger by the day. Some students will say that they regret coming to this school. I say that coming here was the best decision I have made because this school has strengthened me and shaped me into who I have become. I love this school!
The International Academy of Macomb is an IB school (similar to a European version of AP). This school in particular, has been deemed one of the most rigerous schools within the country, and as of 2018, is the best high school in michigan, top 10 in the country, and is the best public school in the United States. Hence, the environment that students are surrounded with is an extremely entensive yet nurturing one. Staff are extremely encouraging and are ready and willing to aid the students in their advanced curriculum. Although the academic aspects of this school are second to none, the athletic scene is non existent, the school is a magnet school, and thus students who wish to partake in sports must do so from their home school. This does not stop many of the students however, and most are aple to participate in sports if they so desire. Overall, I would not have chosen any other highschool to attend.
