When I first started attending this school it was full of certified teachers and principals who came to work striving better for the kids. The school had set a high standard and name for itself. However, we are losing students yearly rate. Our high has been hopeless for us students. Although they've tried bringing new sports such as soccer we still need more resources and connections to be a successful high school. I would like to see the school become better when it comes to seniors and their senior year. Also high school in general. We need to go back to that thriving school that everybody loved.
I love that student and staff here at international academy are very kind and welcoming; our school feels just like a family. What’s saddening is that the school is so unorganized. Everything from dances to how students will get their club and sports attire is so last minute. We seniors have been starting to take things into our hands by talking to our staff about student government, something that we should’ve been had.
I love how they enforce rules. I love how the students get to participate on a lot of things such as SLO(student life organizations). I love how their getting us ready for college. They make sure we are students before anything else such as athletics. It is a very good school if your child, can take tests a lot. They put a lot of thoughts of having the younger students involved with the older ones. For example the older ones being mentors to kindergarten through sixth graders.
