I just completed my freshman year at Interlake and I absolutely loved it. Although Interlake is known as the "IB school" and is considered academically focused, we still have super fun clubs and athletics. The teachers there are amazing. They seem to really care about you and your challenges in high school and are SUPER friendly. AP exams are pretty big in our school. To prepare for these exams, some teachers host review sessions on weekend at school in order to prepare you more for the exams. Yeah, so teachers are great! The administration can be kind of rude once in a while, but most of the time they help you with whatever. All in all, Interlake is a fantastic school with a great, supportive community.

Overall, my experience at Interlake High School has been fantastic. A lot of opportunities offered for students- if you want to start a club, you can! If you want to join a sport you've never played before, you can! The school experience is truly what YOU make it. Very strong academics here with the IB/AP classes offered. Only problem with that is EVERYONE around you is smart, which can be pressuring and stressful sometimes.
Interlake offers many awesome resources and opportunities such as the IB program, AP classes, good counseling and teachers, etc. Nearly all of the teachers and counselors are very helpful and truly care about your learning. On the other hand, I've found administration to be pretty closed off and to not quite understand the needs of the students. Interlake also provides the "gifted program", whose students were very closed off from the rest of the school. I found this program to add tension and pressure to the school's academic environment. Even excluding the gifted program, Interlake is extremely competitive and I often found it overwhelming, but appreciated the opportunities it provided me. Athletic program is good. Football team sucks. Overall, I've enjoyed my experience at Interlake High.
