Integrated Arts Academy at H.O. Wheeler Reviews

1 review
The energy at IAA is felt immediately—the culture is creative, inclusive, diverse, and energized. The teachers and staff are dedicated; the parents, active; and the students, empowered and engaged in their learning, in each other, and in the larger world. The B&G Club facilitates the after-school program; there are many clubs and activities from science to sports themes. There are programs such as ONE Strings, ONE Steps, Move It Move It; Arts Integration blocks for longer, in-depth explorations of an art form and an academic unit; and more. The school is connected with many community organizations including the Flynn Center, Burlington City Arts, LCCMF, VYOA, Young Tradition VT, and more. The resources and expertise offered by these arts partners and others enrich the entire community, especially the classrooms. I love that my kids have the opportunity to be here—the school is truly creating a space where 21st century citizens and thinkers emerge.
