Intech is a small school with less than 200 students. The focus of Intech is STEM and early. We have the opportunity to take college classes as high schoolers at two different colleges, Utah State and Btech. Because of our small size and college focus we don't have any sports teams or a huge cafeteria. Our football team is a highly competitive robotics team, which is a lot of fun, I might add. But because of our small size we also have benefits. We have a closeness in the student body so everybody knows everybody through all the grades and their is no bullying, ever! We also get to know the teachers very well and make bonds with them. I have a lot of fun at Intech and is perfect for me and is setting me up for the future.
My highschool experience has been awesome at InTech! I have been able to meet amazing people and take classes from kind, helpful teachers. I have also had the opportunity, along with many other students, to obtain tons of college credit during high school, saving thousands of dollars.
InTech is a public charter school that focuses on STEM fields and works with Utah State University to prepare its students for college. They offer AP and concurrent enrollment classes, and even allow you to go to the Utah State University campus to take courses there. I loved the smaller class size, personable teachers, and the focused learning environment.
Even though I ended up studying illustration and graphic design in college, I was able to use my extra experience at InTech with computers and the Adobe programs to give me a head start. I participated in the school's yearbook club and FIRST Robotics team, where I learned to design things like logos, t-shirts, buttons, and spreads. As the school grows, I hope they'll provide more classes about digital artwork, or more clubs for those who are interested in art.
My biggest takeaway from InTech was to be excited about learning, no matter which subject interests you. I'll always be grateful for my time there!
