This institution was exceptional; instructors were present during daily discussions and willing to teach the students in an unfamiliar environment: online.
I loved Idaho Virtual Academy. Doing online school gave me the opportunity to work on a regular basis and to travel and experience new things.
I liked communicating with my advisor to do an early graduation.
I do not like the new note requirements, the notes are supposed to help students learn and remember material. Grading student notes makes if difficult for the student to take notes that actually help them learn.

My experience with Idaho Virtual Academy has been very positive. The teachers are very helpful and do their best to improve their students' educations. They also take the time to insure that you understand what you're learning no matter how many times it takes. I enjoy this school because it allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable to you and I am learning subjects that will be useful to me and my future. I am definitely experiencing a positive change in my learning with this school.
I transferred for my senior year and I am really liking it so far. The teachers are amazing and they will try really hard and help you with passing. They also help with your schedule and planning things.
IDVA is a great school. I started attending at the start of junior year following a move, and can say that my high school experience has not suffered (at least as far as academics are concerned (: ) The teachers are wonderful and very willing to communicate with you about anything, and the online meetings are really helpful when working through class content. You also interact with your peers more than you would expect! It is a great school, and a good option for more people to consider due to the circumstances caused by covid-19.
Great teachers, great platform! 100% enjoyed my experience. The teachers were easy to get a hold of and they were always willing to work with me.
The advisors here are so helpful! They will do everything they can to help you apply to the school in a short time frame if need be. The instructors really care about your success and will help you work towards it!
Idaho Virtual Academy was a great high school. I really enjoyed attending. some of the teachers aren't the best but the majority that I had were very supportive and kind and were always there if you were confused or needed help. my counselor was the best and helped me within a couple of minutes of an email.
It's a great option for students who need to be flexible in their schedules or who want more opportunities to get ahead in their studies or participate in dual credit/dual college enrollment. Teachers and counselors are also very supportive. They try to create opportunities for students to reach their full potential and also get to know the individual students and families.
I like how they help whatever time of day. I deal with personal issues and they help me get through the issues on the days I get them. I get headaches a lot and they help me to where I don’t have to spend a lot of time on the computer so my headaches get worse. Doing online is so much easier for me than doing school at the local high school.
I went to this school and graduated in 2018 and i really enjoyed my graduation it was the best day of my life and I worked hard for my diploma.
Idaho Virtual Academy (IDVA) provides an at-home learning environment for students who are interested in online education. It is perfect for kids like me who require the flexibility of homschooling. IDVA isn't the only online school out there... but it is certainly the best. Since the second grade, IDVA has been my school of choice. The ability to set my own schedule and pace allowed me to take school into my own hands, despite a busy life. And, though based at a screen, I have had the constant support of the incredible IDVA teachers, counselors, and other staff. Overall, IDVA has really allowed me to become the person that I am today, but meeting my needs with student-specific care. This school has my full recommendation.
IDVA is great, I just wish there was more prep for transfer from HS to college. The online format is a little too lenient for procrastinators sometimes. The faculty is great and they do a great job trying to connect students.
