From a freshie to a senior, the highschool experience at my particular high school is not exactly what I envisioned. Over the course of my time studying there, I realize that it was just what I envisioned Union High School to be like: A school with a boring variety of students and no excitement at all. The teachers for the most part did their job, but some could definitely improve on intriguing the students more. One teacher in particular, who has been at the school for almost 2 decades, uses the exact same teaching worksheets every year! That has to be rough not only on the students but the teacher as well! Speaking of decades, the school has not changed in structure, and it's necessary for this school to do so because it's so old and it looks out of place in the area it is located in. Overall I expected more at a place named "Innovation" Central high school, but was merely disappointed.
My experience at Innovation Central High School was great! I had very great help from my teachers and other staff members. You would get more involved with them through meetings, clubs at school and after school, assemblies, workshops, and even so many field trips. The people at Innovation Central High School really let you know that they care about you and your future, they would organize the best field trips for you to experience any careers or colleges/universities. These field trips will make all students explore and want to learn more. I am go glad that I took those opportunities because I look forward to my bright future now! I could really say now that all because of Innovation Central High School I will someday become a pediatrician.
My school has a lot of potential, it is in a poor district. The teachers are amazing and they offer so much help outside of class for students. I switched out of another school but this school has changed me into a better person. They are so welcoming to everyone and inclusive. The principal Mr.Frost learns everyones' name an greets them. He understands equality and treats everyone fairly. There are no favorites. Not everything is perfect the school is very old and it makes it feel gloomy sometimes, and the students can be trouble makers. The students are college focused but the teachers push them and try their hardest to encourage students. Overall, i really like my school besides how it looks and the setting,
