I loved all of the clubs and activities and ways to get involved. It allowed me to meet new people and explore my interests.
One thing I liked about this school was how kind everybody was. It is also a very nice community. Everyone looks out for each other.
I enrolled my 10th and 12th grader into IUHS due to Covid. They were attending a private Christian school, but the school was only offering in-person instruction for the 20-21 school year, which I felt posed a health risk.
Enrollment was very easy. Registration was also easy and straight-forward. The course selection was excellent. All of their previous courses transferred in and were reflected in the academic plan of study they received. Since my kids are tech-savvy, they had no problem adjusting to an online learning environment. The Genius and Canvas learning management systems are robust and intuitive and provide a parent login to keep tabs on your student's progress.
I love the flexibility the program provides and I have been able to eliminate the transportation logistics nightmare of their brick & mortar school. IUHS is a terrific choice. But, I am an Indiana University alum, so my opinion may be a little biased. I received my undergraduate degree from IU, partially online.

I chose IUHS four years ago instead of a more traditional school environment because he schools around me were not suited to me. I enjoyed learning more independently.
IUHS was an entirely different experience. It may be a distance learning school, but there is nothing distant about my learning. I felt more connected to my teachers and to the material at IUHS than I did at my local schools.
I enjoyed how the curriculum was flexible. There was a wide variety of courses to choose from, including classes about art and literature, film and theater, as well as economics and the natural sciences.
IUHS offers practical and theoretical education. Some of my favorite classes were ones that gave me practical information about topics such as health, budgeting, and how to use computer software in addition to math, science, and literature.
The excellent education I have received at IUHS will help me be a successful college student.

Very disappointed. Students get text books and list of assignments and that's it. If they have questions they are to email instructors who will get back to them, "within 3 days". Zero interaction with other students. Zero explanation on textbook assignments.
I like how Indiana University offers a wide variety of courses to take with a variety of different backgrounds. All of the faculty here at IU care about your future success and goals.
I love how connected you feel even though you aren't in a traditional school setting. All the teachers are very eager to help you when you need it and their advice is always great. There are so many resources for whatever you need.
An online High School that does an outstanding job in preparing students for university. Rigorous courses with experienced teachers!
IUHS does an outstanding job in preparing students for college. The courses are challenging, but worth it. The teachers give excellent feedback and are always available for the student. Having chosen Indiana University High School is a decision that I will never regret having taken, due to the learning experience it provides along with the opportunity to meet new people from different places.
I am a student at IUHS! Indiana University High School really prepares you for college! Professors respond frequently to the assignments and give excellent feedback! If you really want to be prepared for college, then Indiana University High School should be your option.
The experience of an online high school allows for a lot more student freedom, but time management and other factors do make it a pretty significant challenge. Overall the program is good (though some teachers could stand to review their course pages more frequently), but be sure you're prepared for what you're getting into.
I enjoyed it but it could be much more diverse! The school administration and teachers should focus on making diversity a priority.
