Since Indiana connections academy is a homeschooled program, you are obviously missing out on the social side of school. That is probably the biggest disadvantage about any homeschool. Otherwise, the flexibility this program offers is amazing and it allows me to play my sports and travel almost anytime! I’ve always been very busy which has made Indiana Connections Academy perfect for me to attend. The classes they offer are good, but you may occasionally get stuck since you don’t have a teacher guiding you through it. That’s why they have this thing called “Open Office Hours” where you can chat online with any questions you have and ask teachers for any help. Another thing teachers do is have something else called a “Live Lesson.” Live Lessons are weekly for each class at a different time and it is where the teacher will go over what is currently being learned in the class. Overall this makes it so much easier to learn and is why I have continued through Indiana Connections Academy.
I absolutely regret nothing about transferring to this school. I love everything Indiana Connections Academy (INCA) has to offer. I have learned so much in the past school year than I have from my previous schools. I love the way the teachers explain themselves when they teach a lesson, I love the LiveLessons and how much I learn from them, most of all I love the atmosphere this school has to offer. I would most definitely recommend this school to friends and others!
I really like Connections! During the fall semester of 2021 I transferred out of traditional high school to Connections due to mental health issues, and overall I've been really happy with it. I like the fact that I'm allowed to work whenever I want and that I rarely have to go to zoom meetings or anything. The only issue that I've experienced was with finding information, or rather finding the right person to talk to. Often I will have a question and need to go through 3 or 4 people to get an answer. Other than that it's been good!
