My son is in 6th grade at IVMS and everyday he comes home with little to no homework and Keeps telling me that school is boring and unchallenging at all. He seems to already know the information that is being taught and finds the teachers don't provide much direction or interest in teaching kids new information. He is not challenged at all with the curriculum that the school layout. I truly think that Souderton Indian Valley is just trying to get by this year with minimum effort put into the kids. The only kudos I give them is maintain in-school rather than remote.
Before we moved to area, our kids were attending Parkland school district up in Lehigh Valley. Our kids find that school a lot more interesting and teachers seems to care more and method of teaching is more up to par with today's standards. The teacher have method teaching strategy to keep kids curious and want to learn. Teachers need do better job findings ways to keep kids interested, it's not daycare.

My 6th grader this year (obviously not including Covid), really struggled in this school. We thought middle school would be a great chance to make friends, but he was stuck with the same 10 boys for the whole day. They class hop with the same boys and girls. There is really no chance to meet new kids and the kids got very tired of each other. It felt like they tried too hard to put the kids back in elementary school and gave them no independence. He was grateful when school ended early this year and no way am I sending him back. I enrolled him in online cyber school for this year and will do a charter if school is back in session
My child had the worst experience here. As a sixth grader, he ended up having one teacher for social studies teacher and ELA and then one teacher for science and math. This was something new the school tried and it was an absolute nightmare. It was obvious for teachers had no idea what they were teaching. The kids were absolutely sick of each other from being stuck together all day and the teachers were miserable. The school didnt care and kept saying it was helping the kids. There is no way those teachers we’re certified to teach both subjects because they were all clueless. I made sure my daughter for next year is going to the charter school because I will not send her to this nightmare and unorganized chaos.
They also only have coed soccer which is ridiculous. There’s not enough spots for boys or girls and the girls feel so uncomfortable and they are miserable. The school does not have its priorities straight and I do not recommend it

The latest year has the 6th graders all together with the same teacher for two blocks. It’s a disaster! My kid has the same teacher for two separate subjects and it’s obvious the teacher is not qualified to teach both. Plus the kids are stuck together ALL day! Middle school was supposed to be a chance for the kids to make new friends. Now it’s horrible and they’re all stuck together again all day. Go back to the old way! My oldest son went through Valley and we loved it then!
It's not a terrible school, but it can be improved. The building is old, and there could be upgrades to make it a better learning environment. There are some outstanding teachers, but there are some who give you the vibe that they don't care.
