Indian Harbour Montessori Reviews
Rating 3 out of 5 2 reviews
Children learn to be independent thinkers, self-motivated researchers, and learn how to help other students. They develop self-confidence by participating in many public speaking opportunities from a Historic Time Line program, science project presentations, and class programs. This school uses hands on lessons with Montessori materials and instruction.
My child has been attending Indian Harbour Montessori since pre-K and was set to start 5th grade next year. However, we are now searching for a new school due to the school's decision to not accept him based on his academic progress. This school lacks the necessary resources and willingness to support students who may be struggling academically. This has created a challenging situation for us as we feel that the school has high expectations for its students.
For 5th grade, students are expected to complete 1-1.5 hours of homework each night, which can be overwhelming for some students. We have found that if your child needs additional support or tutoring, it is best to seek assistance elsewhere, as the school is not accommodating to these needs. We were not even allowed to bring in outside assistance for our child.
