Overall my experience at Independence high school was an amazing opportunity to meet new people. This school is very diverse and has amazing clubs and afterschool activities such as Dance clubs, Lion dance club, Robotics, Interact, Key Club, Unicef and etc. We have a lot of spirit in school assembly and performances. Independence also offers a lot of variety of classes for students to achieve their goals such as Carpentry, Marine Biology, Psychology, Business, Engineering, Accounting, AP classes, etc. Most of the teachers I've had are really caring and I've grown to have a great relationship with each of them. The only thing that I would like to change in Independence High School is the food quality and Restroom cleanliness. Please install locks for the stalls in the restroom!

I enjoyed my experience at Independence High School. I loved how many opportunities there were to try new things, and how well teachers connected to students. Of course, there had to be that mutual respect, but I had good relationships with a majority of my teachers. I also loved how big Independence’s counseling department was- I was always able to get the academic advising and even emotional support when I needed It. Another huge pro: as a big performing arts person, I was also delighted to find that our school had a gorgeous new theater and dance studio!
Independence has been quite an experience for my freshmen year! Independence consist of such welcoming and great teachers. All my teachers this year have been very understanding about my own personal situations and always work to accommodate my needs. The students at independence high vary depending on the circle you tend to hang out with, overall it was a little difficult to make new friends since all my friends moved to a different school. My group of friends although are pretty cool and I made a few new friends this year.
