Independence High School Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 17 reviews
I am a big fan of small, closely knitted schools, and this one checks off the list for that. Being in the middle of a rural part of the State, Independence High School brings in a pool of students that are already familiar with each other, so if you have a hard time integrating with this particular culture, you might be dissatisfied. However, most foreign exchange students find themselves at home very quickly, because the majority of the students are friendly. I had a very fortunate string of teachers throughout my 4 years of being at this school. I cannot speak for any other grade level because their experiences were so much different. Between English, Science, Math, and History, I had some of the best teachers that this school has ever seen. Recently, though, there have been some questionable changes to staff, and I am starting to see all these wonderful teachers move on to other schools. I think some major changes will be in store for the future of this school to raise the ratings.
I like the faculty and staff there at Independence High School and also with the students there as well. I would like to see change there would be more use of technology and outdoor activities with school work, with also more food options in the cafeteria.
If you want to attend a school that has great opportunities, great teachers and is in a safe environment, this is where you should be heading! Although the school lunch and service could be better, you become creative to where you forget all about that.
